Emerging from a grove of majestic redwoods, this 1920s period home faces South along the Russian River, ensuring copious sun throughout the day while affording multiple indoor and outdoor comfortable retreats for quiet enjoyment, socializing, and making the most of your riverfront experience. The Main Floor features a gorgeous arch-windowed loggia, adjacent to an open-plan living area with beamed ceilings, a dining area seating six, and a small watercloset. On this level, the updated kitchen affords stainless steel appliances, natural gas cooking and chef's amenities. Upstairs are three bedrooms with exquisite bedding, one with an ensuite bath, and two others with private sinks; all with closets, cable TV, USB chargers, aromatherapy, and guest amenities.

THE GROUNDS
The GATSBY grounds feature a bountiful, old-growth apple/pear orchard with deeded river irrigation. Your relaxation is assured with the choice of multiple umbrella-shaded seating areas, a rose-flanked gazebo, dining tables, chaises, quiet retreats with statuary and fountains, along with access to the river dock for morning meditation, kayak treks, or gazing at river wildlife in Adirondack chairs at dusk.

RECREATION OPTIONS
Two kayaks are provided for seasonal use when dock is in place (May to October, generally). A Peloton Cycle for your use overlooks the Grounds and River . A selection of yard games is available in the detached recreation storage room. The property is adjacent to Northwood Golf Course.

OTHER KEY AMENITIES
Wifi, cable television in living room and bedrooms, Sonos, USB ports throughout the home. Filtered water and instant hot water tap. Detached laundry room. Guests have access to the entire fenced and gated property. Garage +/- metered EV charger available for extra charge. Note: there is a guest house on the property that is not available for rent, per local ordinance.

Kids and babies are welcome -- please let us know your specific needs, as specific amenities are available on request, as needed, such as highchairs and a Pack & Play. Fur babies are also welcome at Gatsby -- the property is fully fenced for dogs, and a pet waste collection station is at your disposal in the yard. Gatsby Monte Rio is LGBTQ-friendly, of course! If there are other special accommodation needs, please make those known to us.

LOCATION
GATSBY is situated between the communities of Guerneville and Monte Rio -- each charming town featuring quaint shops, art boutiques, restaurants and bars. Northwood Golf Course, its restaurant, a sandwich shop, barber, and a US Post Office, is a short walk away. The ocean is 15 minutes away by car or a 2-hour kayak trek via the Russian River from the property's private (seasonal) dock. From Hwy 101 take the River Road exit 494 West to Guerneville (about 17 miles). Once in town (now Hwy 116/River Road), continue about 3 miles to the Northwood area, just East of Monte Rio. Further directions provided on confirmed booking.

REGULATIONS AND LIMITATIONS

SOUND. Maintaining a quiet, enjoyable environment for our neighbors, which include other vacationers as well as year-round residents, is of utmost importance to the hosts and is required by local ordinance. We appreciate your understanding. Electronic noise monitors are present throughout the property to alert hosts to concerning sound levels.

SEPTIC. This home as well as all others in Monte Rio utilize private wastewater treatment (septic) systems. Conserving water usage will relieve pressure on the system. In addition, tips for respecting the health of the home's septic system will be communicated on rental.
